All Ireland Final Replay

Swinford_GAA_Crest

We have received details from the county board regarding our ticket allocation for the replay. There has been a very slight increase on the amount of tickets we received for last Sunday.
Any juvenile tickets that we order will be taken away from our adult allocation. The potential juvenile allocation is very small. Club officials will be meeting later today to discuss this option.
Demand at this stage is far exceeding supply and is greater then demand for last weekend.
There is no hope of the club looking after all requests and we urge everyone to look around the country for tickets.
We intend to look after our own club draw members, coaches and players and sponsors as best we can.
There is very little chance of people not involved in the club receiving tickets.
Please send requests to secretary.swinford.mayo@gaa.ie and please be realistic in your requests.
At this stage we are not aware of potential further allocations but we will post updates as we become aware of them.

All Ireland Final Tickets:

Due to the huge demand tickets for the final the club will not be giving out tickets until Thursday in the hope that we may receive a second allocation from the county board. We are doing our best to satisfy as many members as possible.
Successful members will be contacted with details of where they collect their ticket. The majority of tickets that the club will receive will be Hill tickets.

Minor B Championship

A very brave effort saw the Swinford ParkeKC team go down to a very late Ballyhaunis Gaels goal on a scoreline of Swinford ParkeKC 4-5 Ballyhaunis Gaels 3-10. The team came back from a six point half time deficit to lead going into injury time but to be denied. We were missing a lot of players and played a number of Under 16’s and came within 10 seconds of keeping our interest in the Championship alive. There is still one game left in the group stages of the Championship away to Bonniconlon.

Senior League Division 1E

We left ourselves with too much work to do with a very poor opening 25 minutes. At that stage we were 9 down and should possibly have been more save for bad shooting by Garrymore. From there on in we more than matched our opponents and brought the deficit back to 5 at the break. In the second half we narrowed it to 3 but unfortunately could not close it any further. The final score was Swinford 0-10 Garrymore 0-13.

Senior League Division 1C

In a gruelling game played with a very strong wind playing into the town end we enjoyed a very deserving win by 1-8 to Achill 1-5. Playing with the wind we went in at the break 1 point down but a very strong second half saw us take the crucial two points up for grabs. Full report at swinfordgaa.ie

Under 15 Division 3A

The lads bounced back from their narrow defeat to Hollymount-Carramore last week to enjoy an emphatic win away to Ballyhaunis by 5-10 to 7-11. Well done to all the team and management..
