Swinford GAA, with the financial sponsorship of O’Connell’s pharmacy, are providing weekly coaching sessions in all the local national schools of Swinford and Killasser.

The aim is instill a love of the game and to help all children enjoy playing to the best of their ability.

The two leading Coaches are local men, John Carney and Mark McNicholas. They are ably assisted by volunteers from the Transition Year students of Scoil Muire agus Padraig.

Billy McNicholas, one of the leading coaches in the country, is also participating and helping in every way possible.

Physical activity amongst our young people is dropping off dramatically. The Swinford GAA aim to work with our local schools to provide solutions that will benefit our community.

The sponsorship from Eoghan O’Connell’s pharmacy is allowing this to happen. This is in addition to his sponsoring of footballs for all our u10 players.

It is wonderful to see such a positive contribution to our local community.
